Mont Blanc when sunrise

Mont Blanc at 4810 meters, dominate the valley of Chamonix.

Mont Blanc is the mountain everyone dreams of climbing. Why ? It is the highest mountain in the Alps.

The first ascent of Mont Blanc was the 8 august 1786, by Balmat and Paccard. This exploit is the begin of the conquest of those highest alps summits.

Normal route of Mont Blanc isn’t technically very difficult, but its also a serious climb particularly because of the altitude and the length of the way.

Each year, more and more people try to climb Mont Blanc.

Many climbers want to include this big alps summits in their mountain dairies.

But we also see some people who are not mountaineers who want to try the adventure on the top of the western Europe.

To give you the highest chance to realize your dream, I have three possibilities :

For alpinists who are in fit and acclimatized (1) :

  • Ascent of the Mont Blanc in 2 days by the normal route of the Gouter or by the route of the three summits
  • 5 days training in mountains with the ascent of two 4000 meters higher summits : the Grand Paradis (4060m) and the Mont Blanc (4810m)

For beginners or those who want to improve their succeed :

  • 6 days training with ice school, snow school, acclimatized and ascent of Mont Blanc

(1) - is the process of training the body to work at altitude. The blood hiders in response to the lack of oxygen above 3000 meters. It normally takes 2 or 3 days.
